Wisconsin Family Council has just released its second SALT Ministry Resource Kit. In this kit you will find the following:

• Wallbuilder’s Role of Pastors & Christians in Civil Government DVD

Here are some action ideas for you to consider implementing after you review the material.

• Read the material so that you can understand and explain the importance of Christian involvement and defend our American and Christian heritage.
• Preach on the importance of and Biblical mandate for individual Christians and Christian churches being involved in government and culture.
• Teach a series of classes on the way Christianity influenced the founding of this country.
• Consider three to five 1 hour classes.
• Our Christian Heritage (show the Barton DVD, chapters 1-13, about 43 min.; then go over Resource materials)
• Our Biblical Mandate (show the Barton DVD, chapter 14-end, about 15 min.; then go over Resource materials; 2-3 sessions possible.)
• Use the pamphlet Why You Should Be Involved as a teaching guide.
• Find additional examples of Biblical involvement in government and discuss their implications for today.
• The Mandate Called for by a Representative Republic (go over pertinent resources)
• Consider how you can become more involved in your community, culture and government.
• Teach on appropriate activities the church may engage in so that everyone is aware and informed. Use the Church Guidelines on Involvement resource contained in the kit.
• Contact Wisconsin Family Council to learn how to obtain training for Focus on the Family’s 12-week Biblical worldview study, “The Truth Project.”
• Lesson 10, The American Experiment, and Lesson 12, Community and Involvement will especially help you understand your Christian duty and responsibility.

A suggested donation of $.50 each, to cover costs only, is requested for additional copies of the pamphlet. A $15 suggested donation covers the cost of additional Barton DVDs.
